Paul McCartney shares cryptic Beatles update in exciting announcement on tour

has given fans a thrilling glimpse into what they can expect when he hits the road. The legendary artist returned to the limelight yesterday, launching the Got Back tour.

The global tour kicked off in Montevideo, Uruguay and will make its way to the UK in December. The 82 year old star unveiled fresh footage of him rehearsing with his band, where they can be seen performing a new track, Now and Then.

The song, which was released in November 2023, originated from a home demo of a ballad that John Lennon recorded in 1977 but never completed.

Remaining band members Sir Paul and Sir Ringo Starr finalised the piece using overdubs and guitar tracks from George Harrison, who passed away in 2001.

They also utilised AI technology to isolate the vocals from the home demo on the song.

The knighted rock legend expressed his eagerness to hit the road again, with Beatles aficionados buzzing over the chance to witness their idols’ tunes performed live, potentially for the first time.
