Arsenal receive blunt six-word message from transfer target after agent’s Emirates trip

Benjamin Sesko has pulled no punches over  speculation linking the RB Leipzig forward with a move to . Sesko, 21, is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe, having again started the season well in Germany.

It follows a summer where the Slovenian international was expected to arrive at the Emirates, despite failing to score at .

But although his agent Elvia Basanovic travelled to north London , a transfer never materialised. 

And ahead of his club hosting in the on Wednesday, Sesko was blunt when asked about his future. “I won’t comment on transfer speculations,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am happy in Leipzig, and for this reason, I’ve recently extended my contract. I want to make big things here, and Leipzig want to improve. I want to accompany the team on this intriguing path.”

After scoring 18 times in Germany last season, Sesko recently . The new deal runs until June 2029, but is widely perceived as an insurance move by the club to avoid losing him for a cut-price fee.

Sesko scored in his side’s last outing in the competition, a 2-1 defeat at . He already has four club goals to his name this season, helping his club to an unbeaten start in the .

And he’s seemingly bounced back from a disappointing Euro 2024 tournament, where he failed to score for his country in four outings. One of those clashes came in the group stage 0-0 draw with England, with Slovenia eventually losing to Portugal on penalties in the last-16.
