On Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun, a potential dream home turned into a nightmare as Kate and Wayne were forced to abandon their viewing amid criticisms that the property was even drearier on the inside.
In Tuesday’s episode, couple Kate and Wayne headed to the Spanish village of Pinar de Campoverde with a budget of £85k, hoping presenter Lee Juggurnauth could assist them in finding their perfect home.
Initially, the house hunt looked promising with Lee unveiling two properties that caught the couple’s eye. However, their optimism was short-lived when they encountered the third villaa four-bedroom home with an abundance of what some might call character.
From outside, views of the detached residence were obscured by an imposing white gate. Yet it was the interior of the cluttered villa, which seemed smaller than anticipated, that led Kate and Wayne to prematurely end their tour.
Wayne expressed the place “didn’t feel right,” reports .

The viewing on A Place in the Sun didn’t go too well
Viewers shared the sentiment, taking to social media en masse, with comments such as: “This is hideous or is it just all the junk? ” and “It’s even worse inside.”
Others lamented the mess with remarks like “Clutter, clutter, everywhere,” and more blunt assessments like “Jeez. How horrible is this? ” The harsh comments even extended to the property’s facade, with viewers highlighting: “That’s f*****g awful from outside.”
As they opted out of completing the viewing, Lee acknowledged the risk he took by showing them the controversial property. Unfortunately, his gamble did not pay off, and the fourth house also failed to make the cut.

Fans were not a fan of the property
Despite some initial hiccups, Wayne and Kate found their dream property in the third home they viewed. The show concluded with the excited couple placing an offer on a delightful three-bedroom, two-bathroom house that fell nicely within their £80k budget.
Though it was slightly more remote than their preferred location, John was enamoured by its charm, remarking: “It’s the square, it’s got that village feel.”
He also noted, “We’re not far from Camper Verde anyway so we can still get out there.”
In a pleasing turn of events towards the end of the episode, Lee relayed the fantastic news that the couple’s bid was successful, setting them on the path to their new life in Spain.
