ITV Tipping Point fans fume as they spot ‘rule break’ in final question round

Tipping Point returned to screens on Tuesday evening, hosted by , but left some fans disappointed during the final round.

Contestants Chloe, Chris, and Linda faced off against the jackpot counter for a chance to win some cash prizes, but an unexpected question about the invention of bidets sparked outrage, leaving viewers fuming.

During the final round, fans were taken aback when a question about bidets appeared in the technology category.

Host asked contestant Chris, “Frenchman Christophe de Rosiers is often attributed with the invention of which bathroom item?”

The options were Bath, Bidet, and Basin. Chris managed to get it right with “bidet,” but ultimately, he left the show after a loss of £3,350.

Taking to X, one person said: “The usual #TippingPoint strangeness, I’m not sure the invention of the bidet falls under the banner of technology.”

Another person added: “I wouldn’t call a bidet technology like #TippingPoint.”

A third person joked: “Does anyone have a bidet in their bathroom? My lad bought a house that had one in…..#Tipping Point.”

Fans later shared their disappointment over the ending to the show with one person writing: “Unbelievable, Chris. Absolutely unbelievable. #TippingPoint.” Another person added: “Absolutely gutted for him #tippingpoint.”

Elsewhere fans were left confused after contestant Linda got a question about spiders wrong. When asked “how many legs does a funnel web spider have?” Linda answered saying, “Six.”

Reacting to the hilarious blunder, one person joked: “Well, all spiders have 6 legs….. #tippingpoint.” A second person said: “And here we find yet another freak of nature… the six-legged spider! #TippingPoint.” A third chimed in: “6 as many legs spiders have #TippingPoint.”
