Weather maps reveal when temperatures will hit 21C in England later this month
New predict parts of the UK will enjoy an October – and bask in temperatures of 20C and above next week.
The latest models from WX Charts show that most of the country will enjoy temperatures in the mid to high teens on Monday October 7. However, the forecaster predicts parts of eastern England will see temperatures hit the twenties.
And parts of Norfolk could see temperatures hit a summery 21C, according to WX’s weather charts. However, the is much less optimistic.
WX Charts’ maps predict warm weather next week
The national weather forecaster predicts “widely unsettled conditions” for much of October. But, on the bright side, the does expect we’ll see increasingly fine and sunny weather in the week ahead.
, however, believes we could see an in October – with temperatures above average. In , Senior Forecaster Nick Finnis said: “There will be spells of unsettled weather at times, perhaps wet and windy, particularly early on in the month.
“But there are indications of a greater probability, for now, for blocking high pressure to build sometime through October – bringing more settled and fine weather for one or perhaps two weeks for large parts of the country, though any warmth will depend on how any blocking anticyclone positions.”
The Met Office predicts more unsettled weather
Senior Forecaster Finnis said it is “likely” October temperature will be above the long-term average. He said: “Generally temperatures above average with some warm days but also some seasonally cool to chilly nights.
“Perhaps a more unsettled end to the month, as troughing / low pressure returns from the west. Temperatures are likely to be above the 1981-2010 long-term average.
” for the whole month, though southern England could return average with higher pressure towards the north of the UK in the means.”
Netweather says we could see an Indian Summer in October
The , however, paints a very different picture. It’s long-range weather forecast for the UK, for the first half of October, predicts much more unsettled conditions.
The forecast reads: “Areas of low pressure, initially centred over the , will slowly meander eastwards across the UK through the weekend and into much of next week, albeit often on a track that is south-shifted relative to normal. This will bring more, with periods of rain or showers, perhaps heavy and persistent at times, and perhaps accompanied by windy spells too.
“The wettest conditions, relative to average, are likely across England and Wales, while it may become rather windy for a time across the north and northwest of Scotland early next week, where it will also turn colder. Later in the period it may become more widely drier across northern areas, as colder conditions then become established more widely across the UK. “

Looking ahead to the last half of October, the says: “Confidence is rather low through this period, but a general continuation of is most likely, with areas of low pressure bringing wet and perhaps windy conditions across central and southern UK in particular, with the best of any longer drier spells likely in the north or northwest.
“That said, occasional drier spells are possible more widely as higher pressure builds for a time, bringing the chance of fog and frost at night. Temperatures will tend to be close to average overall in the south, but likely below average in the northwest.”
