Big Brother to ‘raise the bar’ with new series twists as start date confirmed

fans will be pleased to know that the trailblazing reality TV show is set to make a triumphant return to their screens on Sunday 6 October.

Last year’s inaugural civilian series of the ITV reboot saw Jordan Sangha emerge victorious, while the Celebrity edition earlier this year crowned Ibiza Weekender’s David Potts as its champion.

Dynamic presenting duo AJ Odudu and Will Best are gearing up for their third stint at the helm and have dropped hints about what enthusiasts can anticipate in the upcoming series.

Will couldn’t contain his excitement about the new challenges, revealing: “I’m excited about the tasks this year.

“The tasks were incredible last series but I’ve been speaking to members of the team and I think they’re gonna raise the bar even further I think this series, they’ll be taken up a notch.”

The programme, which has graced Channel 4, Channel 5, and now ITV, is renowned for its legendary tasks that have both amused and vexed the housemates over the years.

Quizzed on which classic challenge he’d love to see make a comeback, Will had plenty to say. In a chat with the Mirror and other media outlets, he reminisced: “I liked it when they were all just sat in boxes, they just had to sit in the box, the simplicity of that but it was so funny.”

He also fondly recalled another memorable task, saying: “I liked the ignore the obvious task when they were bringing external things into the house and they had to ignore it, that was funny.”

In an exciting first-look teaser, a group of guinea pigs invaded Britain’s most iconic house, causing quite a stir. The fresh logo has also been revealed, featuring the eye symbol undergoing a vibrant transformation, adorned with dripping paint in shades of purple, pink, orange, yellow and blue.

Not only will AJ and Will be at the helm on eviction nights, but they’ll also host the spin-off show, Big Brother’s Late and Live, where they’ll be joined by celebrity guests to dissect the latest happenings in the house.

Live streaming is making a comeback too, allowing keen viewers to tune into ITVX seven nights a week to keep tabs on the housemates’ every move.

Big Brother returns on Sunday, 6th October, 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
