The initial dates for the Oasis Live ’25 tour were met with unprecedented demand, selling out instantly and setting records as the largest concert launch in UK and Ireland history, with over 10 million eager fans from 158 countries trying to secure tickets.

However, the frenzy and dynamic pricing strategy for some tickets have drawn criticism towards Ticketmaster.

Days after their sensational comeback, the band notched their 8th UK No. 1 album with the 30th-anniversary edition of their electrifying debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’, simultaneously securing two other spots in the top 5 of the UK albums chart.

Earlier this month, Liam finally spilled the beans on who was behind the Oasis reunion. The iconic frontman, aged 51, confessed that it was he who decided to bury the hatchet after years of feuding with his brother Noel.

Liam revealed that it was he who made the first move to mend fences with Noel. It’s believed he was nudged towards reconciliation by his mother Peggy, his partner Debbie, and Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs.

When quizzed on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, about who initiated contact, Liam cheekily responded: “I called him but don’t tell anyone as I don’t want folk thinking I’m a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers x.”

The reply, dripping with Liam’s trademark wit, was emblematic of his social media banter.

The Gallagher brothers caused a stir among fans when they appeared together in a new photo, coinciding with the announcement of their first live performances in 16 years on August 27.

Speaking on behalf of Oasis, the brothers released a joint statement saying: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

In a promotional video for their much-anticipated return, Liam can be heard proclaiming: “When we both come together, you have greatness.”

Noel adds his own thoughts, stating: “I know my brother better than anybody else. This is it, this is happening.”

The line-up for the Oasis reunion is yet to be finalised, but several individuals have been approached, including former band member and Ride guitarist Andy Bell.

Other musicians linked with the new incarnation of Oasis include Gem Archer, a guitarist in Noel’s High Flying Birds band, and Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, a founding member of Oasis who is known to be close friends with Liam and Noel and has been instrumental in their reconciliation efforts.

Despite not being an original member of Oasis, 57 year old Gem joined the band in 1999 and played alongside the Gallagher brothers for ten years before Noel left the group in 2009.

Since then, he first collaborated with Liam Gallagher in his band Beady Eye, before later joining Noel’s solo project, Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds, in 2017.
