‘Devastated’ Princess Beatrice ‘avoids Royal Lodge’ after Andrew drama, insider claims

Princess Beatrice is “broken-hearted” and avoiding Royal Lodge following the release of an Amazon series about her father, a source has claimed.

Meanwhile, King Charles is embroiled in a dispute with his brother over the tenancy of the £30million Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, where the Duke currently resides with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

With everything that’s been going on, a source has told New Idea magazine that has been avoiding her parents’ lavish home and is apparently “sick of being humiliated”.

The source said: “It’s a stress-hole there and for some reason, Beatrice always gets stuck in the middle of things, playing peacemaker on behalf of her dad.

“She doesn’t want to be doing that anymore and she recognises it’s been a pattern all her life. No-one wants to be around him when he’s dealing with so much right now. Beatrice is broken-hearted, of course.”

They went on to say that it has been particularly difficult for her as she’s a “daddy’s girl”. She is now supposedly hopes “desperately” for the Amazon TV series “nightmare” to blow over.

A Very Royal Scandal starred Ruth Wilson as former journalist Emily Maitlist, who conducted the interview, and Michael Sheen as . It suggested Beatrice played a part in securing the interview with her father, something the New Idea source said has left the princess “devastated”.

In an interview with , News Corp columnist Angela Mollard talked about the series with presenter Gabriella Power, who highlighted Andrew’s “one-liners”, including what Gabriella described as the claim that he “never sweats”.

Angela also weighed in on the Royal Lodge dispute and its impact on Beatrice and Eugenie, saying Andrew should move out of the property “on behalf of his daughters” as they’ve “already been stung”.

Andrew, who holds a lease with the Crown Estate for the residence until 2078, had wanted to leave Royal Lodge to his daughters, but he’s reportedly been advised to scrap these plans.

Despite this, Beatrice and Eugenie may have another possible property inheritance lined up as their mother, the Duchess of York, is thought to have a £4million house in Mayfair, reports
