Keegan Bradley clinched the Presidents Cup for Team USA
Keegan Bradley struggled to hold back tears as the American golfer celebrated an emotional triumph in the Presidents Cup with Team USA on Sunday.
Jim Furyk’s side secured a record-extending 10th consecutive victory in the event after Bradley claimed the winning point in their 18.5-11.5 success over the International Team.
The US team had taken an 11-7 advantage into the final day at Royal Montreal Golf Club, having won six of the eight points on offer on Saturday. That left them needing only 4.5 points from their remaining 12 singles matches to clinch victory, and it came down to Bradley to get them over the line.

Bradley, who had last appeared for the US at the 2014 Ryder Cup where he lost the crucial point, made amends by defeating Si Woo Kim on the final hole to give the United States the 15.5 points required to win outright.
The experienced golfer missed putts to clinch victory over the last two holes, but the nervy finale was over when Kim missed a decisive birdie putt at the par-four 18th.
Speaking after the win, the 38-year-old was visibly emotional as he spoke of his pride at bowing out on a winning note while representing his nation.

“Wow, that was incredible,” Bradley told the PGA Tour. “I was saying all week, I didn’t know if I’d get to do this again.
“And to be able to just play in this tournament and to win the point… the last time I played [in a team event], I was the point to lose the Ryder Cup. So if this is my last round as a player, maybe it is, I’m happy with that.”
Bradley has made no secret of his desperation to play team golf for his country again, having not featured for a decade until this week, and the 2025 Ryder Cup captain was glad to be back amongst his peers.

“I miss the guys, they are just incredible,” he added. “They really love each other, their wives, caddies love each other… it’s just an amazing atmosphere here and I’m so proud of the team, I’m proud of just being here.
Asked what he learned about himself, he replied: “I learned I can still do this. It’s always hard, it always is and that was really uncomfortable at the end. But I’m proud of the way everyone played today.”
Two-time major champion Xander Schauffele led from the front for Team USA, winning five consecutive holes from the fifth in the top match against Jason Day. And Furyk paid tribute to his players following their landmark success.
“They made the captain’s job really easy and these guys played their hearts out this week, and they really played well on the back nine,” the US captain said.
