Sky TV update – new voice search features
There’s good news if you have beamed into your home with the telly provider confirming that it’s just added some all-new features. The free update, which is available on devices such as and , offers some fun ways to find content faster. Yes, all you need to know is some famous theme tunes and you’ll be able to watch things such as Friends or Only Fools and Horses without needing to plough through endless menus or channel lists.
Fancy giving this karaoke-style search a go? All you need to do is grab your Sky voice remote – or shout “Hey Sky” if you have an internet-connected Glass TV – and then belt out some of the words from popular themes.
For example, if you want to watch some episodes of Friends you can say “I’ll be there for you” and your SKy telly should instantly load up this iconic comedy series.

Sky has asked UK telly addicts to name their favourite themes with Doctor Who (47%), The Simpsons (44%) and Match of the Day (44%) taking the to spots.
