Horror bus crash leaves dozens injured as shocking pictures show vehicle in flames

A horrific bus crash has left at least 25 people injured and one person dead in .

A bus carrying 49 people collided with a lorry in the village of Starokorsunskaya in southern .

Both vehicles instantly burst into flames, making it difficult for rescuers to reach the injured.

Video footage shows both vehicles consumed by a raging inferno, with firefighters desperately trying to douse the flames.

Three children are reported to be among the injured, who were rescued from the wreckage.

Eyewitnesses say the lorry drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into the bus.

The truck driver is reported to be the one fatality at this moment in time.

The bus passengers were supporters of a handball team and were on their way back home after the game.

A major fire also broke out in the city of Barnaul in Siberia on Sunday.

A furniture factory called “Three Elephants” was consumed by a fire which quickly spread throughout the complex.

At one stage the fierce blaze covered an area of seven thousand square metres and threatened to ignite fuel tanks located near to the premises.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, where currently 68 firefighters are attempting to bring the fire under control.

No injuries or fatalities have as yet been reported by the Ministry of Emergency Services.

It comes as the governor of the Rostov region declared a state of emergency after wildfires broke out in a forest.

The fires were started by a drone, which crashed into the woodland after being shot down by air defence systems.

“A state of emergency was introduced on the forestry territory in the Selivanovsky rural settlement from 14:00,” Vasily Golubev said.
