Sandymouth beach is a particularly beautiful beach
Bude Sea Pool, an iconic tidal pool run by volunteers, ranks among the best attractions on , with one reviewer calling it as “so special”, and many complimenting the hard work of the team that maintain it.
In line with Bude’s emphasis on environmental responsibility, the town is also known for its farm-to-table cuisine, though there are also plenty of local cafes where you can pick up a traditional Cornish Cream Tea.
Among the beautiful areas in driving distance are Clovelly over the Devon border, as well as stunning Daymer Bay further down the Cornwall coast or Dartmoor if you choose to make your way inland.
Cornish Secrets recommends driving as the best way to reach Bude, as it’s “only 21 miles from the main A30 via the B3254, or you can reach it by leaving the M5 at Junction 31 Exeter”, the website says.
