, Sophie launched the first ever LEAF Gold Demonstration School, which has been awarded for the school’s commitment to using food production, farming, and the environment as part of its broad and balanced curriculum.
While explaining how the line of succession works to a classroom of students, Prince Edward’s wife drew a family tree where she failed to add – who is King Charles III’s youngest son – in an apparent snub.
In a black marker, Sophie first drew the late Queen Elizabeth II – who died in September 2022 – then added little faces around it to represent King Charles, Princess Anne, , and Prince Edward.
She then drew , who is next in line to the throne, under – but failed to draw .

Despite the apparent snub, Sophie also failed to include other royals such as , , Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips. She also failed to include her own children, 20-year-old Lady Louise Windsor and 16-year-old James, Earl of Wessex.
