Princess Theodora finally weds her American fiancé after a six year wait.
After two previous attempts, Princess Theodora finally walked down the aisle and officially began her life with Kumar as husband and wife.
Theodora is the daughter of the late Greek King and his wife Queen Anne-Marie, the bride and also the late goddaughter
Matthew Kumar, 34, was born and raised in Southern California and is a practicing attorney.
The couple were all smiles as they were finally married and despite not having her father there, Theodora’s oldest brother, Crown Prince Pavlos, walked the blushing bride down the aisle.
They wed in an Orthodox ceremony in Athens, on 28 September surrounded by loved ones and close family members.

The third time was indeed a charm for the beautiful couple who had previously tried to tie the knot twice before.
Their first wedding, which was due to take place on the Greek island of Spetses, had to be delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic.
Their next attempt was again delayed sadly due to the death of Theodora’s father, King Constantine II of Greece.

Queen Anne-Marie of Greece looked regal as the proud mother of the bride.
The ceremony was a who’s who of high society and included Theodora’s paternal aunt, Queen Sofia and the bride’s maternal aunt, Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
Also in attendance included other members of the Greek Royal Family including Crown Prince of Greece, Pavlos, Crown Princess of Greece, Marie-Chantal and Queen Anne-Marie and Olympia.
The bride’s mother, Queen Anna Maria of Greece stunned in a green linen dress with her other children Nikolaos and Alexia of Greece also at the prestigious event.
“The couple’s desire to have their wedding in Athens reflects their love for Greece, the strong ties they maintain with the country and their desire to share Greek culture and hospitality and identity with their guests,” read the official statement.
The couple had tried to marry twice before but postponed due to Covid and Theodora’s father’s death,
King Constantine of passed away in January 2023 at 82 and was considered the last King of Greece before the monarchy was abolished in 1973.
He was exiled in 1967 after clashing with military rulers.
He spent most of his time in London before returning to Athens in 2013.
Theodora and Kumar exchanged their vows after six years together at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Annunciation – the same church King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie wed on September 18, 1964.
