Australian flag carrier Qantas might just be embarking on the most ambitious initiative in the history of commercial aviation as they prepare to launch the longest plane journey in the world.

The airline has picked 12 Airbus A350s to fly the route, to make these extra-long flights as bearable as possible Qantas has worked with sleep scientists and various aviation experts.
This type of aircraft can normally accommodate 238 passengers but to ensure travellers are as comfortable as possible this place will instead carry 238.
This “means we not only maximise aircraft performance across long distances,” says Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce, but “We give our passengers more space and comfort.”

There will be a Wellbeing Zone where passengers will be able to get out of their seats and stretch their weary legs. It is the only airline in the world that will have a bespoke onboard stretch and movement space.
