BBC Breakfast viewers say Nina Warhurst has ‘lost it’ as she stands in for Naga Munchetty

viewers witnessed a hilarious moment on Saturday morning when host Nina Warhurst couldnt help but burst into fits of laughter during the show. Alongside co-host , Nina detailed to their audience the underwhelming outcome of a Bridgerton-themed soiree stateside.

As they dove into the segment, the presenters recounted how fans who had attended the much-anticipated event in Detroit were sorely let down.

Charlie set the scene with: “Some US fans of the show Bridgerton have said they were scammed out of hundreds of dollars after they paid to attend a Bridgerton-themed ball in Detroit.”

Images then surfaced on-screen depicting utterly annoyed attendees, glued to their mobile phones and sitting on the ground.

Finding the situation comically disappointing, Nina laughed while she remarked: “Well it looks wildly disappointing, it looks very opulent. They posted on social media about soggy noodles”, reports .

The visuals continued, highlighting unappealing food scenarios, including images of half-consumed meals and plastic cutlery that hardly matched the regality expected at a Bridgerton affair, prompting Nina to comment: “Look at those chicken, ooh plastic forks, that’s not very Bridgerton.”

Furthermore, Nina reported that the organizer had given a statement to Seven News Detroit, acknowledging that the event failed to meet attendees’ standards, confirming: “The organiser of the event told Seven News Detroit that they understand not everyone had the experience they had hoped for and the company is working diligently to address all of those concerns.”

Unable to contain her amusement, Nina again erupted into laughter, leading Charlie to respond playfully: “That is quite funny isn’t it?” whilst Nina struggled to regain her composure amidst the giggles.

The duo swiftly turned to Matt Taylor for a ray of hope in the weather segment as Charlie lightened the mood, remarking: “Cheer us up, they need some cheering up.”

But it was Nina’s reaction that caught viewers at home by surprise, as they raced to X (formerly Twitter) to express their observations.

A viewer exclaimed: “#bbcbreakfast Nina’s lost it,” attaching a crying with laughter emoji, while another less amused trawler commented: “That is the worst forced and fake laugh I have ever seen.”

Another quizzed: “I don’t understand why she was laughing so hard at others being ripped off!” And yet one more dismayed fan queried: “Why is she shouting???? #bbcbreakfast.”

Breakfast airs from 6am on One and iPlayer.
