BBC Breakfast star Charlie Stayt found himself needing to offer up apologies after the broadcasting giant suffered a number of difficulties during a Maggie Smith tribute.
The host and his co-star Nina Warhurst had been talking to Lady Fiona Carnarvon about Dame Maggie Smith, whose death was announced on 27 September.
Maggie, who was best known for her roles in the Harry Potter franchise and Downton Abbey, sadly passed away in hospital, at the age of 89, leaving fans around the globe in sorrow.
On the programme, they had been chatting to Lady Carnarvon about her fond memories of Maggie and when she had stayed at Highclere Castle when disruption wreaked havoc.
After Nina wrapped up the conversation by bidding Lady Carnarvon “happy memories” with the Oscar-winning star, Charlie stepped in to apologise. He said: “Yeah, apologies, a little bit of fallout there on the line, there was a bit of interference.”
He reassured: “It wasn’t you, it was us. It happens sometimes.”
