Caroline Menton as Doris in Series 5 of All Creatures Great and Small
All Creatures Great and Small has welcomed a new character to its Channel 5 series, as Helen Herriot (portrayed by Rachel Shenton) is introduced to her sister Jenny’s (Imogen Clawson) latest companion. Doris, who was sent to work at Heston Grange as part of the war effort, has been filling in during Helen’s absence.
Despite initial concerns that Doris might be a bad influence on Jenny, Helen comes to understand her sister’s need for independence after a heartfelt conversation.
Doris’ rebellious streak is revealed when she is thrown off a horse, and later crosses paths with James Herriot (Nicholas Ralph) and Richard Carmody (James Anthony-Rose). It seems Carmody has developed an interest in her.
After Carmody assists in saving a young calf, Doris labels him a hero, leaving him elated. The series hints at a budding relationship between the two.
Caroline Menton, an Irish actress from Dublin, plays Doris. She graduated from Drama Centre London in 2021.
