What to know

  • The second People’s Choice Country Awards will unfold on Thursday, Sept. 26.
  • Tune in to the ceremony at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC. The awards show will also be streaming on Peacock.
  • Shania Twain is hosting this year’s PCCAs. Last year’s inaugural ceremony was hosted by Little Big Town.

Looking back at the first ever People’s Choice Country Awards

One year after the People’s Choice Country Awards’ inaugural ceremony at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, the awards show is back for another night.

The spin-off of the long-running People’s Choice Awards premiered live on NBC and Peacock on Sept. 28, 2023, and brought celebrated country music legends together for a night of honors and spectacle.

Last year’s awards were hosted by the country music group Little Big Town, with Tennessee native singer and rapper Jelly Roll taking home the most awards.

Some of the evening’s highlights included the bestowment of the Country Icon Award to the late singer Toby Keith, who died earlier this year. Singer Wynonna Judd was also honored with the show’s first-ever Country Champion Award, a nod to her decades-long involvement in music and commitment to activism.

When are the PCCAs? Here’s how to watch

The People’s Choice Country Awards begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Ahead of the ceremony, a red carpet pre-show will begin at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET.

To catch the red carpet arrivals, watch the “E! Live From the Red Carpet” pre-show. 

Then, tune into the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards live on NBC. The ceremony will stream simultaneously on Peacock, as well.

Looking back at the first ever People’s Choice Country Awards

One year after the People’s Choice Country Awards’ inaugural ceremony at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, the awards show is back for another night.

The spin-off of the long-running People’s Choice Awards premiered live on NBC and Peacock on Sept. 28, 2023, and brought celebrated country music legends together for a night of honors and spectacle.

Last year’s awards were hosted by the country music group Little Big Town, with Tennessee native singer and rapper Jelly Roll taking home the most awards.

Some of the evening’s highlights included the bestowment of the Country Icon Award to the late singer Toby Keith, who died earlier this year. Singer Wynonna Judd was also honored with the show’s first-ever Country Champion Award, a nod to her decades-long involvement in music and commitment to activism.

When are the PCCAs? Here’s how to watch

The People’s Choice Country Awards begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Ahead of the ceremony, a red carpet pre-show will begin at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET.

To catch the red carpet arrivals, watch the “E! Live From the Red Carpet” pre-show. 

Then, tune into the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards live on NBC. The ceremony will stream simultaneously on Peacock, as well.
