Comedian has waded in on the conversation after Strictly Come Dancing became plagued with controversy following its backstage scandal and ‘ high-profile withdrawal from this year’s live tour. The 41-year-old spoke exclusively with Express Online about her experience on the dance programme, where she was partnered with Johannes Radebe in the 2022 series.
When asked about her thoughts on the latest backstage tension surrounding , she simply said: “All I can speak about is my own experience doing Strictly, and I really loved the whole thing. […] It was all challenging, to be honest, but all the best things in life are. I’m so glad I did the show. I look back on it incredibly fondly.”
The comments come after was axed from the recent Strictly Live! Tour this year after he made a crude comment during a photo call towards host . The 53-year-old opera singer—best known for appearing in the GoCompare adverts—competed on Strictly with Katya Jones last year.

It was then revealed that Wynne had used the sexually suggestive term “spit roast” to describe Janette Manrara during a private joke with ” actor and former co-star . He later apologised, saying: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise.”
A year earlier, two professionals were booted off following Graziano Di Prima and were axed after their partners, and Zara McDermott, made separate claims about their treatment whilst on the show.
Giovanni has denied the allegations surrounding his conduct. His spokesperson at the time said: “Giovanni refutes these allegations and denies any accusations of abusive or threatening behaviour. He has provided substantive evidence to the investigation and he remains fully confident of clearing his name.”
The Italian later revealed how his “world collapsed” amid the accusations, which were partially upheld following an investigation. He recently told The Mail on Sunday that he “would love to return” to the staple but doesn’t think producers want him back on the dancefloor.
