Questions over what will happen to US visa status will soon be answered after a US judge ruled that the documents must be made public by Tuesday. On whether the documents will reveal anything, the right-wing US Heritage Foundation think tank claimed that an admission of drug use should have disqualified the Duke from getting a US visa.

The group has since been trying to find out whether Harry did not disclose the information, or whether he received a special waiver from former US President ‘s administration.

Judge Nichols, who was appointed by US President , was quoted as saying: “The government has provided the court with its proposed redactions to the documents… those redactions appearing appropriate, the government is ORDERED to lodge on the docket the redacted versions of those documents no later than March 18, 2025”.

In previous legal filings, DHS said that the records at issue are “particularly sensitive” because they would “reveal Harry’s (immigration) status in the United States.” The DHS wrote: “Even though he is a public figure, still maintains a privacy interest in these types of records and in his immigration or visa status generally. Even if public figures may have a diminished expectation of privacy, they do not surrender their privacy interests entirely.”

US immigration laws state any foreigner “determined to be a drug abuser” is classed as “inadmissible”. However, officials are afforded discretion to waive the rule.

He told the New York Post he , saying “he’s got enough problems with his wife”, who he described as “terrible” after the Duchess of Sussex alleged the president was “divisive” and “misogynistic”.
