It has been just over a week since the launched her eight-part series, With Love, Meghan, on and viewers have wasted no time in recreating the mum of three’s single skillet spaghetti. , the duchess hosts long-time friend and make-up guru Daniel Martin.

During the episode, the duchess showed the make-up artist how to prepare a now-viral dish which is a one-pan tomato-based pasta . Meghan revealed that her family love the so much that she keeps any leftovers for Archie and Lilibet’s lunchboxes. user @dannylovespasta tried his hand in recreating the “most controversial pasta in the world right now”.

Although Meghan did not give a precise Danny wrote one up based on what she was doing, noting a few things he would change to make the less “bland”.

Danny started by cutting cherry tomatoes, putting them in a skillet with some olive oil, salt and garlic.

He said: “Now personally I would saute them first to give it a little bit more flavour. She adds the dry spaghetti right on top, a bunch of leon zest, then some stems of some swiss chard.

“Now this is where it gets controversial. She boils water in a tea kettle, adds that to the skillet, cooks the spaghetti for a few minutes, adds kale, swiss chard and cooks it some more.”

Danny credited the duchess for adding just a little bit of water when cooking pasta as “you get really starchy water that can make your sauce creamy without cream”.

Try the Meghan Markle Pasta! She doesn’t really give an exact recipe, but after watching what she does, here’s my writeup of her Single Skillet Spaghetti Recipe: 1. Bring 3 1/2 cups water to a boil in a tea kettle. Meanwhile, slice 2 cups cherry tomatoes in half. Add them to a skillet along with 3 cloves minced garlic. Drizzle generously with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. 2. Add 1 pound spaghetti to the skillet, and then cover with the zest of 1 lemon. Chop the stems of 2 to 3 pieces of Swiss Chard or Lacinato Kale and add them to the skillet. 3. Add the boiling water to the skillet, cover, and then cook over medium-high heat for about 6 minutes. Remove the cover, then the leaves of your chard or kale, loosely chopped. Cook for another 4 to 5 minutes, until the pasta is al dente. 4. Remove from the heat and add in a pinch of red pepper flakes, 1/2 cup arugula, and 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan. Toss together and serve.

The TikToker proceeded to follow the , adding red pepper flakes, parmesan and arugula (he only had spinach).

“And I don’t know my kids are not as healthy as hers apparently because they would definitely pick around all of these greens”, said Danny.

Although he “liked how the turned out” the TikToker critiqued the for being a “little bit bland” and would simply use broth instead of water to add some more flavour.

He said: “Really liked how this turned out. It is fast and the texture of the sauce is really nice. You could also try this with broth instead of water. That will add a little bit more flavour cause this sauce was just a little bit bland but I love this method and I love a one pot meal so Meghan I think this is a keeper.”

In response to the on user said: “I can’t get over the boiling water. The Italian in me died inside.”

“I made this pasta after watching the show and OMG creamy and delicious”, said another.

A third added: “I think chicken broth and seasoning would be good.”

Meghan said in the show: “When I make this, I make it for my family. Not that my children are eating heaps of noodles [pasta], but when I make it, I’ll make enough that I can put leftovers in their lunchbox.

“So for me, it’s an entire pack of Spaghetti [that goes into the dish].”
