received a playful telling-off from his co-presenter during Tuesday’s edition of the show.
The audience witnessed the duo engage in conversation with radio star Jamie Laing. Jamie, formerly known for his time on reality TV, is currently undergoing a huge mission to raise money for Comic Relief.
He’s embarked on a daunting 150-mile run stretching from London to Salford, which kicked off on Monday morning. In a chat with the 36-year-old, who was preparing for day two of his challenge, he mentioned to Richard and Susanna that he was experiencing some discomfort in his bottom area.
A curious Susanna asked: “Jamie, why is it affecting your bottom?” To which Jamie responded: “I don’t know. Honestly, guys, my bum hurts so much! It’s a new pain that I’ve never felt before.”
Even though he’s facing discomfort, he assured the ITV hosts he remains upbeat. Susanna probed further, contemplating whether the pain might be linked to his shorts chafing, reports

However, Jamie clarified: “No, it’s not the chafing of the shorts. The chafing is in other places, which aren’t so good. But Vaseline does wonders! I think Vaseline is the greatest invention after the telephone! I think it’s unbelievable.”
Amidst the banter, Richard showed a particular interest in the details of Jamie’s painful posterior, asking if muscle soreness could be the culprit. Jamie confirmed the agony stemmed specifically from his left buttock.
Jamie brought humour to a painful situation on live TV, jokingly claiming: “I think someone has climbed into my room at night and put something in my bottom! Honestly, I don’t know what’s going on, it’s really sore, it’s hurting so much. But I think it’s probably because I did over 50 kilometres of running yesterday.”

Richard Madeley queried with curiosity, asking: “Have you ever had this problem with your bottom before?” was swift to bring an end to the cheeky banter, exclaiming: “Right, that’s enough, that’s enough, Richard. Honestly, right let’s move on.”
The conversation then smoothly transitioned to Jamie’s charity efforts. Explaining the purpose behind his enduring endeavor, Jamie shared with the ITV hosts: “I got asked to do this by Radio 1 and Comic Relief and I thought it would be an amazing thing to do.”
He highlighted the importance of the challenge, adding: “So many people have done it before, but also, more than that, it’s such an amazing opportunity to raise lots of money for Comic Relief, for these amazing projects that they do.”

Setting high goals for himself, he recounted: “I wanted to make it hard, I wanted to make it really hard. So I thought, ‘Oh this will be fun, why don’t I run to Manchester, where the Comic Relief show is being done on Friday night?'”
Yet, Jamie admitted to underestimating the task at hand, concluding that he hadn’t realised quite how tough it would be.
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
