“Great kit for cleaning dryer vents. I’ve used a couple different kits in the past and this one is the best so far. The main problem I see people having using these kits is they try and rush. I know it looks like it should take ten minutes and you’re done , but if you do that you’ll have problems. Give yourself plenty of time. Only hook one or two rods together at a time. Tape each connection. Go slowly and don’t run the drill to fast. Don’t use the drill in reverse. Go slowly when removing. Only pull out one or two rods at a time disconnect and go slow. Don’t run the drill in reverse. Use two pairs of pliers to disconnect rods. If you do it this way it stops almost every complaint I’ve seen.” — d
“No joke, we could of had a fire if it wasn’t for me using this product to clean out our dryer vent pipe. I kept hearing how dangerous it could be if ignored. Never cleaning them since the house was new, I decided to buy this one. It worked amazingly well. I made the mistake of putting all the rods together at once which allowed it to twist up as shown but they can easily bend back to shape. I recommend putting 2 or 3 rods together at a time for best results. I didn’t tape the rods together but I did make sure to remember not using the drill in reverse.
