If you’re craving spring sunshine without the crowds, then there’s one gorgeous beach which boasts plenty of space to stretch out – and it’s 22C in April. Nissi Beach near Ayia Napa in has a stunning 600m stretch of white sand with crystal clear waters and gently swaying palm trees lining the sand. According to research conducted by it’s the least crowded and warmest beach in Europe for the shoulder season.
With a four and a half star rating on TripAdvisor, this beach is ranked number 15th in the top 73 things to visit when visiting Cyprus and visitors have been thrilled by its gorgeous scenery and lively atmosphere. One visitor wrote on TripAdvisor about their trip, saying: “This beach is one of the most popular places in Cyprus and must be visited for a perfect holiday.

Another wrote: “The views here are absolutely. amazing. The beach is so clean and the sea is stunning. I would highly recommend visiting for the day. Beautiful beach, the water is pure and clear. One of the best beaches I have been to and even better than Thailand this year.”
To determine the least overcrowded beaches, Wizz Air analysed over 50 European countries and their top beaches then found which ones were quietest by estimating by measuring the beach, dividing its area by the size of a beach towel, and then dividing that by the average number of daily visitors.
By combining these insights with weather data, Wizz Air has revealed the ideal destinations that offer not only plenty of room to relax but also the perfect conditions to start your summer early.
