What happens in the final season of ‘Yellowstone’?
“Yellowstone” had viewers on the edge of their seats from the get go, so it was no surprise that the series ended with a shocking moment.
In the series finale, the Dutton family sells their land back to Broken Rock Reservation. Earlier in the season, the family’s patriarch John (Kevin Costner) was killed. He is laid to rest in the finale.
Vowing to avenge her father’s death, Beth (Kelly Reilly) visits her brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) and proceeds to attack him since he’d played a role in John’s death. Lucky for Beth, Rip (Cole Hauser) arrives right on time and saves her from being choked. Beth then stabs and kills Jamie.
As Beth devised a plan to tell the police that Jamie ran off after attacking her, Rip get rid of his body.
In the end, Beth and Rip move forward with their lives and buy a new ranch.
Will there be any additional ‘Yellowstone’ spinoffs?
After the series finale of “Yellowstone” premiered, many fans of the show were curious to know if there would be a potential spinoff focused on Beth and Rip.
In December 2024, Deadline reported that a series was in the works. Viewers are still waiting for confirmation.
In the meantime, fans can get their “Yellowstone” fix by tuning in to the prequel series “1923.”
The show premiered in December 2022 on Paramount+ and stars Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford as Cara and Jacob Dutton, ancestors of the Dutton family.
The show is set in the early 20th century and follows the couple as they travel through the mountains of the American West.
In December 2024, “1923” started airing on cable for the first time when it hit Paramount Network.
