’s son Kit has turned his attention to darts after “retiring” from football. The fan, who celebrated his ninth birthday with a darts-themed party in January, met at Alexandra Palace at the start of the year after the Nuke had .
Rooney has four sons with wife Coleen, who he married in 2008. And while three of them are obsessed with football, Kit has developed a love for darts. The sport has grown in popularity over the last couple of years following the emergence of Littler, who burst onto the scene at the 2024 when he reached the final as a 16-year-old.
Detailing Kit’s new passion, mum Coleen told : “The third one has steak for breakfast, this is the darts one – he wants to become a darts player at the minute.
“Sometimes he’ll have a fried egg with it, but mostly it’s just a steak – he’ll just have that.”
She added: “Kai, he’s 15, and Klay, who’s going to be 12 in May, they’re both at the academy at . They’ve been there for quite a few years now.
“The youngest, he goes in at Everton. He’s just turned seven, but he absolutely loves it. And the third one, he’s retired. He’s retired a few times.”

In the aftermath of Littler’s World Championship final victory over Michael van Gerwen, former England striker Rooney took to to post a picture of the champion alongside his son Klay as he wrote: “What a night for the lads. Congratulations Luke. Unbelievable.”
Coleen, meanwhile, posted her own tribute on the platform following the showpiece match as she wrote: “Amazing night…kids were buzzing!! Congratulations @lukethenukelittler.” She added: “That’s me screaming getting beer all over me.”
Kit’s father may have more time on his hands to nurture his son’s darts curiosity after at the end of last year.

The 39-year-old, who has since appeared as a pundit, was given his marching orders after the Pilgrims had suffered a torrid run of form under his stewardship.
