This is how to fly across the world for less than £1,000 stopping in New York and Sydney

It’s now possible to fly across the globe for less than £1,000, thanks to new routes that make it affordable for budget-conscious adventurers to circle the world—without breaking the bank. The most affordable itinerary featured in a study by The comes to just £982. This trip focuses on destinations in Asia, Australia, and North America.

The journey includes stops in , Singapore, Sydney, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and New York, covering 20,355 miles in total. The itinerary which was done for the period of November 4 – November 15, features a selection of budget-friendly carriers, including Norse Atlantic’s newly launched Bangkok route, along with Jetstar, Scoot, and Hawaiian Airlines.

The trip begins in London with a flight with Norse Atlantic to travel to Bangkok, covering a distance of 5,950 miles for £299 and then a flight to Singapore with Jetstar for just £36.

Next, you’ll travel from Singapore to Sydney with Scoot, a 3,920-mile journey costing £113 and then from Sydney to Honolulu with Jetstar for £153.

From Honolulu, you’ll travel to Los Angeles with Hawaiian Airlines for £99 and then to New York with another Hawaiian Airlines flight for £127.

Finally, the itinerary ends with a return to London with Norse Atlantic, a 3,460-mile flight costing £135.

The second cheapest route featured in the study is one for £1,125.

Starting in London with Wizz Air, travelers would fly to Budapest, then on to Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sydney, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and New York before returning to London.

Two flights are with Wizz Air including a cheap flight from Budapest to Dubai for just £53 – much cheaper than it is to fly from London to Dubai.

From Dubai, you fly with Batik Air to Kuala Lumpur for £180, followed by a £73 flight with AirAsia to Singapore, then travel from Singapore to Sydney with Scoot for £127, and from Sydney to Hawaii with Jetstar for £183.

The next step is to fly from Honolulu to Los Angeles with Hawaiian Airlines for £142, and from Los Angeles to Big Apple with JetBlue for £123.

Finally, your journey ends with a return flight to London from New York with Norse Atlantic, costing £217 for the 3,460-mile route.

Airlines like Norse Atlantic, Wizz Air, and others are making it easier than ever to explore the world without overspending.

For instance, Norse Atlantic recently introduced a direct flight from London to Bangkok, with tickets priced as low as £400 return—almost half the cost of a typical British Airways economy ticket.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air is making waves with its low-cost routes to the Middle East, with single fares starting at just £125 for destinations like Jeddah and Medina in Saudi Arabia.
