Whiterocks is located in the area of Portrush, a popular tourist spot in Northern Ireland’s County Antrim. To get there from Belfast, you can drive for just over an hour. However, if you plan to follow the scenic Causeway Coast, then it will take you a little while longer, but the experience of getting there will be much more rewarding.
The beach itself is located in Whiterocks Coastal Park which boasts limestone cliffs stretching from Curran Strand to Dunluce Castle, Northern Ireland’s official tourism board says.
The beach makes for a lovely walk along the coast, taking in the views and the fresh sea air. It is also a popular spot for surfers, swimmers, and other water sports enthusiasts, and a seasonal surf outlet rents out equipment for all of this if you would like to make your visit a bit more thrilling.

Meanwhile, facilities at the beach include free parking, board walk access, seasonal lifeguards, toilets and cold showers.
If you are lucky enough, you might even catch some horse riders trotting down the beach.
