A and superhero drama will be made available to stream in full with fans giving it a whopping 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Black Lightning was the first Black superhero to headline his own DC Comics run, following the story headteacher Jefferson Pierce (played by Cress Williams) who retired as Black Lightning, a superhero who is able to generate electricity.
But when his family and community are threatened by a new street gang, Pierce decides it may not be time to give up his superhero past just yet.
Black Lightning originally aired on The CW between 2018 and 2020 and was then released on with all four seasons ready to stream.
Unfortunately for subscribers, the superhero drama was dropped from last month but there is good news as it will be readily available to watch on a free streamer instead.

All four seasons of Black Lightning are going to be released on ITV’s streaming service ITVX on Sunday, March 23.
It’s no wonder that the show has been picked up given that it has a 92% Fresh Score on Rotten Tomatoes with fans also taking to X, formerly Twitter, to praise the drama before it left last month.
Someone wrote: “Sitting here watching @CressWilliams as Black Lightning on @.
“I enjoyed it during first runs and now again on . Great program Positivity, Strong UNITED black family.
“Helluva Sound Tracks. I really hate when these so-called Networks take great shows.”
Another shared: “Rewatching Black Lightning for the millionth time since is taking it off the service and man it just doesn’t get old, it is such an incredible show and easily Top 2 in the Arrowverse.”

A third agreed: “Black lightning is the best show that has ever aired on ”, as a fellow fan added: ‘I’m hooked on Black Lightning on , a really good show!”
Apart from Black Lightning, actor Cress Williams will be remembered for his time in both Hart of Dixie and Prison Break.
He is joined by Dexter star James Remar as Jefferson’s friend and mentor Peter Gambi and Batman Begins actress Christine Adams is behind his ex-wife Lynn Pierce.
Black Lightning may not have been officially part of The Arrowverse with Flash and Green Arrow but they did share an executive producer in Greg Berlanti and all three starred in a crossover event back in 2020.
All Black Lightning seasons will be dropped on Sunday, March 23, on ITVX.
