‘Reform has been preparing for battle and on May 1 we’ll show we’re ready for victory’

The Reform Party 2024 Conference

Since the last general election, Reform has been preparing for battle. We have built over 400 local branches, leading in many of the opinion polls and have grown to almost 220,000 members – overtaking the Conservative party in the process.

A lot of my time over these last few weeks and months has been spent on professionalisation and ensuring that everyone who has elections on May 1st has the chance to vote for my party. That means vetting and selecting over 1,600 council candidates. This is not an easy task when you consider Reform did not field a candidate in 88% of all council seats up for election last year!

Despite Labour and the colluding to cancel over 5.5m votes in some of our strongest areas across the country, Reform can do well in these elections.

We will aim to win 200 seats.

Friday March 28th will be a watershed moment at Arena Birmingham. We will hold the biggest launch rally ever seen in modern British political history time.

For the first time today, I can announce that we have sold over 10,000 tickets for this event – and there are still 12 days to go!

Grab yours as fast as you can by heading to . I hope to see many Daily Express readers in attendance!

Elections in May will also see 6 mayoral races taking place across the country in Hull and East Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Lincolnshire, the West of England, Doncaster and North Tyneside.

We have already announced two fantastic candidates for two of these races.

The wonderful Dame Andrea Jenkyns will run for Reform in Lincolnshire, and across the Humber bridge in Hull and East Yorkshire, former Olympic gold medal winner and local hero Luke Campbell MBE will stand for us.

I can’t wait to show you the rest of our exciting candidates on May 28th.

Four Westminster opinion polls have now shown support for Reform UK rising in the past 10 days, with an average of 26%.

It’s clear that the country is crying out for change and voters continue to see Reform as a credible choice for government.

May 1st is the next step to forward to making that happen.
