A star quizzer on shared one subject that leaves him completely stumped. , who has appeared on the since it first began back in 2009, often wows audiences with his high intellect on all things general knowledge – but he admitted that he has his very own kryptonite.
After hosting his own quiz night at , when asked if there is any topic he does not like to tackle, Shaun exclusively told : “Anything to do with soaps. I don’t like soaps.” He added: “I really do struggle with them.” However, he shared that not much else leaves him clueless.

He also shared that he would never be afraid of going head-to-head with his fellow Chasers. Shaun said: “I’d compete against any of them, and I’m sure they’d say the same thing.
“You’ve got to believe in your own ability. My fellow colleagues are all very very good. They’re tremendous but I’m not frightened of them. If I had to face them, I would always fully back myself.”
The quizzer, who managed to fill up the Liverpool venue, shared that being on The Chase has not changed his life too much. He told us: “My life hasn’t changed at all because I haven’t let fame change me at all.

“It’s wonderful to be in the public eye but I don’t let it change me, apart from the fact that I’m probably one of the most recognisable faces in the country.”

Despite Shaun backing himself, show statistics show that he is “the worst Chaser” with a win percentage of just 70%, according to One Question Shootout. The website shows that as of March 3, 2025, Shaun had competed in 468 episodes and won 329 times, with 139 losses.
Meanwhile, The Governess Anne Hegerty came out on top with a 79.8% win rate. She has played 485 games with 387 wins and just 98 losses.
