Andre Onana has spoken out after being named in the Manchester United starting lineup against Leicester City despite reportedly suffering from an eye problem. The Red Devils goalkeeper was expected to miss out after reports earlier on Sunday claimed he faced a late fitness test, with academy star Dermot Mee set to fill in as a surprise debutant.

However, Onana was spotted arriving at the King Power Stadium, and it was later revealed that Ruben Amorim had named him in his starting lineup against the Foxes. Mee featured on the bench alongside fellow youth stopper Elyh Harrison as the Cameroon international continued his run of starting every single Premier League since arriving from Inter Milan in 2023. Ahead of kick-off, Onana appeared in high spirits and insisted United were confident for their final match before the March international break.
