In a nostalgic episode from Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, Clive Owen expressed a desire to “pass on the baton” to the younger generation.
Channel 4’s latest hit series, which originally aired last year, follows the Owen family as they embark on a challenging refurbishment project at Anty John’s.
In the season finale, Clive is seen entrusting his son Miles with the responsibility of mowing the grass for the first time. Clive commented on camera, “We are cutting grass today. Now is our time, but the weather has been very unsettled. It is saying we might have three fine days, so we are having a go.
“It is quite complicated, especially on these awkward fields. It is something I have always done, and it’s lovely that I am not doing it. So, I am just telling him off, and he is fed up of me already,” he jested.
Speaking proudly of his sons, Clive added, “They’re grown-up these lads, and it’s good for them to take over these jobs. Miles is a young man now so the mowing is for him,” reports .

Reflecting on aging and strength, Clive observed, “The kids grow up and become men. I am getting older, and I am not as strong as I used to be so yeah, it is good that these young guys take over.”
Looking towards the future, Clive said, “It’s time to pass on the baton and let them do more and more, and that is how it is. I am here to watch over them and annoy them, and we will get there in the end.”
In the latest instalment, Amanda Owen shared her delight at rounding up the whole family for an unusual group photo.
“It is great to have the whole gang back,” the shepherdess shared with viewers. “I wanted to get the family together to get a photograph standing on the hillside with Anty John’s there in the background.

“I think it is something we will be able to look back on. We’ll see the kids growing up and going their own way, and we will also see the house evolving as well.”
Amanda further explained, “The problem with the kids is they all want to head to civilisation. They want to head to places where their phones work and where you can order a Deliveroo, you know, living the high life.
“But it often doesn’t take long before they start missing home; they soon realise riding horses, wearing wellies can be just as fun and they all come back again. I think that’s fantastic it means we get the best of both worlds.”
