Luca Toolan, once a familiar face on as the complex character Mason Radcliffe, has embarked on an educational venture following his dramatic exit from the show. The actor’s stint in the soap came to a gripping close when scriptwriters decided to cut his character, culminating in a shocking death by stabbing that shut the door on any potential comeback for Mason.

After gracing Weatherfield for eighteen months, Luca has now turned his attention to teaching, announcing the news to his fans shortly after bidding farewell to his role on the long-running series. With a passion for performing arts, Luca will be nurturing future stars through acting workshops, taking to social media to express his enthusiasm about his new project.

Luca shared via a lively video message, “I am keeping myself busy as best as possible, and I am running some acting classes.” He expressed gratitude toward his new avenue: “I am teaching at Bee Rogue Talent, so thank you to those guys.”

He also described what budding thespians can look forward to: “It is going to be great and we are going to do a lot of script analysis, improvisation, character development and learning and teaching the craft of acting,” reports The Mirror.

Yet, it appears that teaching may not be the final curtain for Luca Toolan, as he hints at further ventures in television. With a family legacy in broadcasting—his father being the renowned radio presenter Mike Toolan—Luca is alluding to a role in an upcoming comedy series.

Standing by to hit the airwaves is ‘Grass Roots,’ a comedy that promises to spotlight a family dynamic in Preston, featuring Sheree Murphy of ‘Loose Women’ fame as she steps back into the limelight after a seven-year break from the screen. The pilot episode also features acting talents like Kim Tiddy from ‘The Bill’ and ‘Hollyoaks’, alongside Zak Douglas, acclaimed for his roles in ‘G’Wed’ and Good Ship Murder.

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, the character Mason Radcliffe met a brutal demise when his brothers, Matty and Logan, fatally attacked him with Dylan Wilson’s knife in the local play park.
