The 65-year-old broadcaster, who has been battling with chronic pain and mobility issues since undergoing surgery in 2022, took to social media to thank those who have supported his work with The Foundation.
Alongside a photo, he wrote: “Thanking everyone and saying Goodbye to some of the people who help in our work at The Foundation and around The Club …. Even though we can’t see you Jan.” While the message was directed at colleagues, some followers couldn’t help but express concern for the celeb, especially after he recently admitted he is “always in pain”. Eamonn has been open about his declining mobility, previously admitting that he “can no longer walk or look after himself”.
Following surgery for a slipped disc in 2022 and a double hip replacement in 2016, he now relies on a wheelchair and has acknowledged that he may never walk again.
