and will face off for a spot in the Indian Wells final. The Spaniard is on a 16-match winning streak at the tournament, winning the title in 2023 and 2024. And he is already planning what he’ll spend his prize money on if he continues his impressive run in the Californian desert.

The 21-year-old is guaranteed to bank £494k ($639k) if he beats Draper and make it to the championship match on Sunday. If he successfully defends the title, he will pocket a staggering £928k ($1.2m). After his latest victory, Alcaraz floated the idea of making a huge purchase.

Alcaraz thrives in Indian Wells. His last loss at the tournament was back in 2022 and he has yet to drop a set this fortnight.

While some players struggle in the breezy conditions, the world No. 3 enjoys playing in the wind. He also loves how many golf courses there are in the Californian desert

So it’s no surprise that Alcaraz is planning a lavish purchase if he continues his winning run in Indian Wells.

After beating Francisco Cerundolo in the quarter-final, the two-time defending champion wrote an interesting message on the camera lens. “Should I buy a house here?” he penned.

The four-time Grand Slam champion later explained why Indian Wells felt like a second home for him. “I have talked like this with a lot of players,” he started.

“I mean, we have a team. I mean, talking about myself, I have a big team. I’m lucky enough to bring family with me to tournaments, but I think tennis is a lonely sport. So sometimes when you have or you feel peaceful in the place you’re going, you feel great.

“So that’s this case here. I feel peace. Here is peaceful. So I just feel great that way with the people that I have around.

“So that’s why it makes this place really beautiful to me, and I think that’s why I show my best tennis here.”

Alcaraz will need to win a lot of prize money if he wants a property in Indian Wells. According to Zillow, the median sale price for a house in the area is £1m ($1.3m).

Although it’s been three years since he lost a match at the tournament, the world No. 3 is expecting a tough battle with Draper on Saturday night.

“It seems he’s in really good shape right now. I think he’s ambitious, and he always goes for it,” Alcaraz said of the British No. 1.

“So that makes him a really tough opponent. I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be one of the toughest on the tour in the future or in the next year.”
