has a “great friendship” with , a body language expert has revealed. Eugenie, 34, is the youngest daughter of , and Zara, 43, is the only daughter of Princess Anne. The pair, who have been deemed ‘best friends’ as well as cousins, have often been pictured with one another at major royal events, as well as at events outside of the royal realm. Speaking to about their friendship, body language expert Darren Stanton said: “Zara and Eugenie clearly have a great friendship that goes beyond just family ties. They are seen in many shots walking side by side, leaning into each other. There’s a lot of mirrored body language, which shows they’re in sync with each other. And their smiles are genuine and take over their whole faces, causing smile lines.

Explaining why they get on so well, he added: “They appear to have a mischievous sense of humour too, as they’re animated when they talk and use their hands a lot.”
During their appearance at the races this week, Eugenie and Zara – as well as their husbands, Mike Tindall and Jack Brooksbank – were given a humorous nickname. They were also joined by Sky Sports star Natalie Pinkham, and her spouse, Owain Walbyoff.

Evident of their close bond, Zara was chosen as one of the few bridesmaids at Eugenie’s wedding back in October 2018.

The pair also held a joint christening for Zara’s son Lucas and Eugenie’s son August.
Eugenie’s firstborn August was born in February 2021, with Lucas – a younger brother to Zara’s two daughters – making his appearance into the world just a few weeks later.
Speaking at the time, commentator Penny Junor told The Sun: “I’ve never heard of two royal babies being christened together like this.”
