There’s nothing quite like a fresh house on a Sunday afternoon after a day spent cleaning, with all the floors vacuumed and maybe even a nice candle lit. So, it’s frustrating when the vacuum doesn’t do what’s required and the afternoon is spent fighting with it, cutting into precious time relaxing in a spotless house.

Keen spring cleaners can buy a best-selling for £122.55, down from £199.99 on Amazon (prices correct at time of writing), which promises to make vacuuming the house a breeze.

The vacuum is described to be a perfect all-rounder, as it can be used on carpet and hard floors but also transforms with its Lift-Away feature to clean high-up areas like the sofa and even the stairs. It also has an adjustable suction control feature, for bespoke cleaning no matter the surface.

The vacuum has been said to capture 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum and does not release them back into the air customers breathe – no more sneezing and coughing while hoovering the dusty patch in the corner that’s been avoided for weeks.

Shark’s selling point of whizzing up dust and allergens is similar to features offered by rivals Dyson. If you’re looking for a model that has been specifically designed for allergies, then Henry is another one to consider with the Henry Allergy model (in pastel baby blue) and it is currently

The vacuum also comes with a two-in-one crevice tool, an upholstery tool, has a 1.1L capacity and only weighs 5.1kg. With a high 4.6 out of 5-star rating from a total of 18,796 reviews, customers have shared their opinions on the purchase. “I used this for the first time yesterday, and it honestly made it look like we had never hoovered the floor before given what it picked up,” said one shopper.

Another said: “The functionality of this little beast is great. It gets into every nook and cranny and it’s super fast to swap out the tools on the go.”

Another buyer said: “Do not walk, run to buy this vacuum. I’ve had a Dyson and Bush, and nothing compared to this. I was very surprised to see how well-packaged it was. It’s easy to assemble and even easier to use. I’d 100% recommend this to anyone.”

However, some weren’t as pleased, with one buyer saying: “Can only give a three-star review. Vacuum is great in practicality and suction, however the plastic wand broke within 3 months.” While another said: “The vacuum seems okay, but it should have come with a pet tool. Unfortunately, that was not in the box.”

For some alternatives, buyers could opt for the recognisable classic  from B&Q for £199.00, or for those needing some pet-specific cleaning action, the  cleaner for £119.00 from AO.
