As a man of a certain age, Kevin Hart is embracing the art of comfort.
During an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Hart acknowledged the inevitable march of time, admitting that with age comes the realization that jeans are no longer his sartorial friend.
“I’m getting older. It’s all pants, slacks,” the actor revealed to Hudson on Monday.
At 45, Hart revealed that a “a good pant is necessary” to navigate the complexities of life and all of its demands.
“Jeans are not the same. Jeans hurt, and they’re not comfortable,” the comedian said.

He explained that the allure of slacks lies not just in their favoring fit, but in the mobility and softness they afford.
“I don’t like how jeans feel on my knees,” Hart said. “They hurt my knees.”
With a playful shift, Hart turned his attention to his waist and joked about how much he hates the feeling of his jeans digging into him. At this age, he’s fully committed to a lifestyle that prioritizes the luxurious embrace of a “soft waistband.”
Hudson, ever curious, asked, “What age should we be when we start wearing the slacks?”

“For me, everything changed when I got 40,” Hart noted.
But Hart’s comfort revolution doesn’t stop there. He’s planning to take his relaxation to new heights when he turns 50, announcing his intent to wear nothing but “all sweatpants.”
Fully embracing his age, and all it comes with, Hart has even named his current comedy tour “Acting My Age.”

“I think that there is a moment that we’re having where people are running away from, what I feel, the true understanding should be about old age,” he said.
He concluded by stating that “getting older is a representation of life lived.”
