Jason Sudeikis confirms ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 is happening — with 1 major change

The “Ted Lasso” cast is teaming up for another season.

Jason Sudeikis confirmed the news during the March 14 episode of Jason and Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, much to the brothers’ delight.

It’s been two years since Season Three of the Apple TV+ series premiered, but rumors of its return have been circulating for months.

During the podcast, Jason Kelce wasted no time asking Sudeikis to comment on the matter.

“Is there Season Four? Is it in the works?” he asked.

“Are we allowed to say that?” Travis Kelce asked.

Sudeikis gave the brothers the green light and said, “I think you can ask it, yeah. That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season Four now.”

Sudeikis didn’t offer many details on the season, but he did share one big tidbit.

“That’s the official word, yeah. Ted’s coaching a women’s team,” the actor said.

“What?! Is he coming back to the states?” Travis Kelce asked.

At this point, Sudeikis played coy and said “That’s too many questions,” then took a sip of his drink.

Travis Kelce burst into laughter while Jason Kelce took the hint, saying, “We’ll leave it at that.”

“And it’s only because I don’t have — I don’t know,” Sudeikis added.

The official “Ted Lasso” X account seemingly alluded to the news on March 14, publishing its first post in two years.

“Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?” the tweet read.

Many social media users commented on the post to give it their seal of approval. One shared a GIF of Lasso saying, “How ’bout that?”

Another commented, “So freaking excited! One of the best shows I’ve ever watched!”

“This is the best day in a long while!!!!,” another wrote.

In August 2024, Variety reported that Season Four of “Ted Lasso” was on the way after Warner Bros. Television “picked up the options on original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift.”
