Expect to see a slew of new faces on the Formula 1 grid for the 2025 season.
It’s set to be a dynamic year as six rookies embark on their first full F1 season while veterans fight for their spot and the championship. All teams except constructors’ title winners McLaren and Aston Martin have a new set of drivers, making the up and coming races even more exciting.
Last season started off with the 10 teams having the same driver pairings they had in 2023. However, ahead of the 2024 season, major news shook up the 2025 driver pairings after Lewis Hamilton announced he would be joining Ferrari.
From there, Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz was forced to find a new seat while other drivers faced the same situation or said goodbye to the sport.
The switch in drivers and the behind-the-scenes details of it all made for a dramatic Season 7 of the Netflix docuseries “Formula 1: Drive to Survive.”
Reigning champion Max Verstappen secured a 2024 win, while Lando Norris surprised fans when he came in second place for the drivers standings. Norris’ multiple wins, as well as teammate Oscar Piastri’s, helped McLaren win the constructors’ title.
As the first Grand Prix kicks off March 14 in Australia, see all the F1 drivers and their teams for the 2025 season.
