It’s fair to say ’s return to the White House has been nothing short of extraordinary. In little over two months, Mr Trump has overseen a seismic shift in foreign policy – most notably in his approach to the war and European security – while also making a raft of changes domestically.

Other changes introduced under the administration include the creation of the new Department of Government Efficiency, known by the acronym DOGE.

The department, headed by the world’s richest man, , is tasked with cutting government jobs and spending.

In a speech to Congress earlier this month, he said: “Our country will be woke no longer.

“We believe that whether you are a doctor, an accountant, a lawyer, or an air traffic controller, you should be hired and promoted based on skill and competence, not race or gender.”

A nationwide immigration crackdown has been launched after the president promised the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants in the .

Meanwhile, the administration’s approach to European security has sent panic on the continent, with European nations now looking to bolster their own defences amid concerns over commitment.

Last week he suggested Washington wouldn’t defend its allies if they aren’t spending enough on their own defence.

He said: “It’s common sense, right.

“If they don’t pay, I’m not going to defend them. No, I’m not going to defend them.”
