Expert shares one home item you should never throw away when clearing out your home

With spring on the horizon, you may be planning on with a clear out and clean. A recent survey suggested that over 90% of Brits are planning a spring clean in the coming weeks.

But whilst often focuses on throwing items away, some usually discarded items can be a help, not a hindrance, when it comes to organising whatever is left. Space-saving expert, Carl Benson from , has been sharing his favourite de-cluttering hack that has customers in disbelief.

Carl says that homeowners can organise the majority of their household drawers with recycled .

Carl believes the method works similarly to having a for cutlery and you can keep things sectioned off in shoe boxes inside drawers so you won’t have to rummage around every time you’re looking for certain items.

He said you shouldn’t waste money buying more containers until you’ve tried this and if it works then you can upgrade to more aesthetically pleasing boxes later down the line.

If you’re planning to try this method, you should first take all items out of your draw before cleaning on the inside.

Next, organise your items into piles by category and discard any unwanted or broken items.

Then you should place the boxes into the and begin to fill with your things.

To maximise space, make sure the boxes fit into the drawer in the snuggest way possible which will help the layout stay .
