Anne Murray to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at 2025 Juno Awards

The most Juno awarded artist in history, Murray will be the first artist to receive the honour since 1989

Canadian music legend Anne Murray is the most Juno-awarded artist in the history of Canada’s national music honours. At the 2025 Junos in Vancouver, Murray will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Springhill, Nova Scotia musician has won 25 Juno Awards.

“Canada’s National Arts Centre has been honoured to support countless Canadian performing artists from the beginning of their careers to the international stage, including this year’s honouree, Anne Murray,” says Christopher Deacon, President and CEO of the National Arts Centre.

Presented by the National Arts Centre/Centre National des Arts, Murray will be the first performer to receive the recognition since is was awarded to Pierre Juneau in 1989.

Juneau, who served as Minister of Communications in the government of prime minister Pierre Trudeau, was the first chairman of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and credited with the creation of Canadian content requirements for radio and television. The Juno Awards take their name from him.

Hosted by Burnaby star Michael Bublé, who will be joined on stage for a special performance with Elisapie, Jonita Gandhi, Maestro Fres Wes and Roxane Bruneau, the broadcast will also include appearances from B.C. artists bbno$, Peach Pit, Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga, Jazzy B and GMINXR.

Ajax, ON., pop/punk group Sum 41 will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame by brothers Joel and Benji Madden of the group Good Charlotte, while singer Jessie Reyez will present Toronto hip-hop artist Boi-1da with the International Achievement Award.
