Rod Stewart’s eight children – from models to sport star and rehab drama

, who is beginning a Las Vegas residency today, has a huge brood of eight children in total. The iconic star has admitted it is difficult to get them together at the same time. “They always have plans… So I say, ‘If you don’t come, it is coming out of your inheritance’. So they show up,” he commented in 2020.

The singer’s four daughters and four sons range in age from 61 to 14. In 2021, he admitted in an interview with People that the huge age gaps mean he has to be “several different fathers”. “You really have to treat all of them as individuals with individual problems,” he explained. “As a dad, I’ve learned to listen and not blow my top,” he said adding “seeing all my kids and my wife with big smiles on their faces” is what “makes me happiest.”

Sarah Streeter, 61

Rod’s eldest child Sarah Streeter, now 60, was born in November 1963 long before he found fame and fortune. He and teenage girlfriend Susannah Boffey gave their daughter up for adoption when he was 18. They were reunited when she turned up at a recording studio over two decades later. In 2010, Stewart spoke about getting to know his eldest child on The Joy Behar Show. “She was put up for adoption when I was 17 or 18, I think,” he said of Sarah. “I was absolutely stone broke… and so she was put up for adoption.”

Sarah opened up on their relationship to in 2018: “Our relationship has evolved a lot in the last few years. It’s taken its time because he’s not just my dad, is he? He’s a big star. So, of course, that makes it difficult. But over the years it has become much more relaxed and now he’s just Dad to me,” she said.

Kimberly Stewart, 45

Mum of one Kimberly is Rod’s second eldest child and second eldest daughter. Her mother is Rod’s first wife Alana Stewart. Born on August 21, 1979, Kimberly carved out a successful career as a model appearing on the covers of magazines such as American Vogue, Elle and Tatler.

She also turned her hand to acting and had a leading role in Going to California and an appearance in one episode of Judd Apatow’s series, Undeclared. Her film debut saw her star opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Jared Leto in Black and White. In 2021 she started her own luxury organisation company, The Realm By Kimberly Stewart.

Her daughter Delilah who is Sir Rod’s eldest grandchild was born in 2011. Her father is The Usual Suspects actor Benicio Del Toro.

Sean Stewart, 44

Sir Rod’s eldest son and Kimberly’s baby brother was born to Rod and ex-wife Alana on September 1, 1980. He has recently hit the headlines after he entered rehab. He later admitted . “I am here to deal with the pain that I had in my childhood that stemmed from suffering from ADHD and an overall feeling that I can’t succeed in life. I am in therapy now, I am focusing on working through the problems,” he disclosed to MailOnline.

Sir Rod’s fourth child, whom he welcomed with ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg on June 17, 1987, started out as a fashion model like her mother, before going on to pursue music with her own band, Revoltaire. Renee Stewart, 32

Model Renee is Rod’s eldest child with second wife, New Zealand model Rachel Hunter. Born on June 1, 1992 alongside her modelling, which has seen her pose for Mulberry, Maje and Stella McCartney, she has pursued a career in dance. She graduated from The London Contemporary Dance School in 2016 and has worked as a dance artist for prestigious events, including the Hong Kong International Dance Festival. She also teaches yoga and meditation, giving classes and private sessions in retreats in glamorous destinations such as Santorini and Mykonos. She completed her 500-hour yoga teacher training in India in 2019.

Liam Stewart, 30 

Liam is Rod’s second child with Rachel and was born on September 5, 1994. The 30-year-old is a professional ice hockey player, landing his place in the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League four years after leaving high school. He went on to play in the Elite Ice Hockey League with the Coventry Blaze and Guilford Flames, before recently joining a professional team in New Zealand. Alastair is Rod’s eldest child with wife . Born in November 2005 the 19-year-old has already carved out an impressive modelling career. In June 2022, his pictures could be seen on buildings across Milan when he starred on the billboard campaign for the luxury clothing brand Palm Angels. He hasn’t let work get in the way of his studies though and in June 2024 he finished his A-Levels. Proud mum Penny took to to praise the teenager for his efforts writing: “My boy Alastair Stewart has finished his A-Level exams and whatever the results, he is the son I dream he would be.”

Aiden Stewart, 14

Penny gave birth to Rod’s youngest child, and Alastair’s younger brother Aiden Patrick, in February 2011. The couple have described him as a “miracle baby” as Penny had gone through several rounds of IVF before she was able to get pregnant again. In December 2022, Sir Rod revealed that the family had suffered a serious scare when Aiden was struck down by a panic attack during a basketball game. While it was initially mistaken for a heart attack, as Aiden had grown “blue and unconscious”, he returned from hospital safe and well. He appears to have inherited his father’s love of football and in 2023 proud dad Rod shared his pride as the under-13s league he played in ended up finishing as runners-up in the competition.
