More than 80 passengers have endured vomiting and diarrhoea as a bug sparked three weeks of hell aboard a cruise ship.
Passengers began feeling ill as the liner was travelling around the from California to Florida, as part of a three-week journey.
Of 1,906 passengers onboard, 69 reported falling sick, while 13 of the 895 crew also fell ill, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the US (CDC).
The ship departed Los Angeles on 21 February on a cruise visiting Mexico, Aruba and the Panama Canal before docking on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, according to CruiseMapper.
People who were impacted by the virus were isolated, and cleaning and disinfecting processes were increased to help contain the outbreak.

It is the second this year for the Coral Princess, following cases reported in January, according to the health agency.

Sixteen outbreaks were reported last year on cruises, according to the CDC, which classified 2024 as the worst year for stomach illness outbreaks for more than a decade.
In December alone, five outbreaks were reported on four different ships, which made more than 800 people sick, all caused by Norovirus.

The majority of all cases last year were caused by Norovirus, while one outbreak in March was caused by E. coli and one in September was caused by Salmonella, while a third’s cause remains unknown, the CDC said.
