Stunned residents stepped out of their homes on Tuesday to discover a shocking scene – a car on its side, shattered and battered, after careering into parked vehicles.
The chaos unfolded during rush hour as workers were heading home, with a white Seat smashing into several parked vehicles before ending up flipped onto its left side. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene on Block Lane in Oldham, Greater Manchester, at around 5pm.
Pictures from the aftermath show the white car severely damaged, with personal belongings scattered across the road after the rear windscreen was smashed.
Returning from work to find the disruption, a local resident expressed little surprise to the : “It is shocking, but not surprising. Block Lane has become a race track over the last few years, and it’s only getting worse.”

The crash, which is said to have involved three vehicles, resulted in the driver of a white car hitting several other vehicles parked outside residences before the car came to rest on its side.
Images from the location revealed extensive damage to the Seat, with its windscreen shattered and the rear window completely destroyed. The vehicle’s roof also suffered severe indentations.
Emergency services cordoned off the thoroughfare for several hours until the wreckage was cleared.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the crash. A representative for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) stated: “Shortly before 5pm on Tuesday 11 March, one fire engine from Chadderton Community Fire Station was called to attend a road traffic collision involving three cars on Block Lane, Chadderton.”

They added: “Firefighters arrived quickly and worked alongside Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe before departing after approximately half an hour at the scene.”
