A expert has shared a simple tip that results in a “more natural and way easier to maintain” lawn and . The Gardener’s Wife shared the advice in a video after a change of tack from her garden designer husband. She wrote in the clip’s description: “Here’s a really easy low maintenance gardening tip that my gardener husband recently shared with me.

“This is a perfect tip or hack for gardening beginners too because it means you don’t have to be too precise. It’s so much easier to be relaxed with your garden maintenance.” In the video, she said: “I’ve got a really easy, low maintenance gardening tip for you that even gardening beginners can get behind. When we moved in five years ago, the beds in this garden were all boxed in with wooden edging. My husband is a gardener and garden designer, and the first thing he did was rip it all out.

She added: “It was rotting, it was giving way, it was unsightly.

“It was just something he didn’t want to have to think about.

“Even though he got rid of that edging, he still maintained an edge to his lawn by using edging shears every time he mowed it.

“This created a really clean line around all the beds, dividing the lawn and the planting.

“But it just used to take up so much time. So now he tells people to just forget about edging.
