Emmerdale viewers are convinced they’ve cracked the mystery of who killed Nate Robinson (portrayed by Jurell Carter), after Amy Wyatt (Natalie Jamieson) discovered his body in a frozen lake following a devastating limo crash.
In emotional scenes last month, before her untimely death, Amy was able to utter Nate’s name to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), although it remains uncertain if he heard her.
Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) is still awaiting contact from her estranged husband, Nate, who departed the village for a fresh start in Shetland. Despite numerous attempts to reach him, especially after the limo catastrophe which claimed three lives, Nate has not responded to any of her calls.
As the New Year dawned, the ITV soap offered viewers several flashforwards, providing a sneak peek into what 2025 holds. Among these was a chilling scene of someone trapped beneath an icy lake, and another showed fan-favourite Mack (Lawrence Robb) fleeing in terror.

Fans of are now theorising that Mack is escaping from the lake after disposing of Nate’s body.
However, they believe he is not the murderer – instead, they suspect Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) of secretly killing her step-son, reports .
Last year, Moira’s brain tumour went undetected for a while, leading to uncharacteristic violent outbursts and hallucinations.
In a shocking twist, ‘s Moira and Nate’s past affair resurfaces as she attempts to kiss him again amidst her brain condition, only for Caleb Miligan (Willam Ash) to catch the moment and inform (Jeff Hordley).

A furious Cain confronts Nate, leading to a violent altercation and Nate’s sudden departure to Shetland, with no word since.
Fans are now speculating that Moira may have accidentally killed Nate during a medical episode, with Mackenzie possibly covering up the crime to protect his sister.
